Welcome to the Illinois Independent Tax Tribunal

The General Assembly of the State of Illinois created the Tax Tribunal as an independent state agency to resolve disputes between taxpayers and the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Our mission is to foster the resolution of tax disputes and to provide a forum for fair, impartial and prompt hearings when litigation is necessary.
